With the built-in IEEE 802.3af compliant PoE, quick and easy installation, and only 90 mm diameter in size, FD8166 is truly an all-in-one surveillance solution that can meet a wide variety of needs for indoor surveillance, such as offices, elevators, campus, chain stores, boutique stores, and health care facilities.

Featuring a 2-Megapixel CMOS sensor, the camera has a viewing resolution of 1920×1080 at 15 fps or 1280×800 at 30 fps. By supporting real-time H.264 and MJPEG compression dual codec, video streams can be transmitted in any of these formats for diversified applications, facilitating the reduction of file sizes and the conservation of valuable bandwidth.

More uniquely, with options for 2.8 / 3.6 / 6 mm lenses, FD8166 can be mounted on a wall or ceiling, providing outstanding flexibility for a variety of installation spots and viewing angles. The package also includes built-in MicroSD/SDHC card slot for on-board storage, VIVOTEK’s 32-channel recording software, as well as a built-in microphone for audio recording. With all of these features, the FD8166 is an ideal solution for various surveillance applications.

Steve Ma, VIVOTEK’s Executive VP, stated, “Following the launch of the world’s smallest fixed dome camera FD8136 last year, we are proud to present today the resolution enhanced version, FD8166. The launch of FD8166, a camera with easy installation for a diverse array of indoor applications, demonstrates our continued dedication and commitment to delivering high performance and user friendly solutions to our customers.”
