The new TruPortal access control system from UTC Fire & Security is a significant step forward in delivering full control over entrances and exits to small-and-medium-businesses (SMEs) and smaller premises.
Unlike conventional access solutions at its price-point, the TruPortal operates using a controller-hosted website. This means users don’t have the expense of a dedicated PC or server, and there’s no need for client software installation.
TruPortal allows up to 64 door readers to be installed and to be operated very simply via IP.
“TruPortal is not only a neat looking product, it offers significant new functions giving important advantages to both installers and users,” said Mark Staples, Pre-Sales Manager for the UK.
“The benefits of using online control technology include savings in complexity and cost. From now, all premises, no matter how small, can have the security protection of full control over all entrances and exits.”
The system has a maximum capacity of 64 readers or doors, and can be installed with a range possible configurations: up to 32 in/out doors; up to 64 in/request-to-exit (RTE) doors; or a combination of both.
The IP and appliance based architecture provides up to 5 clients simultaneously with real-time information, event monitoring and video integration. Allowing video recording of access control events, the TruPortal can be linked to up to four TVR10 recorders.
TruPortal is also easy to use. The user interface (UI) has been designed to be very straight-forward, again making it suitable for small business and similar applications.
