Intersec 2012

20130820_Intersec-2014Leading international trade fair for safety, security and fire protection industries, Intersec 2014, is set to feature a range of new product launches by international companies over the course of the exhibition in Dubai from January 19th to 21st.

Organiser Epoc Messe Frankfurt is predicting that Intersec 2014 will break records with regards size and participation. With a 10% growth in overall size from last year, the exhibition is progressing steadily year on year and will reach the 1,000 exhibitor milestone in 2014 for the first time in its 15 year history. It is therefore also expected that the trade fair will gain an even more comprehensive regional footprint than previously.

“Intersec is acknowledged as the most effective business facilitator for the industry,” said Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of Epoc Messe Frankfurt. “As such, it is viewed as the best possible launch pad for exhibitors looking to introduce new products into the market. This converts positively for regional markets as it helps to ensure that the very latest technology is being deployed for the safety and security of people and assets.”

Intersec comprises four main focus areas: Commercial Security & Information Security; Safety & Health; Fire & Rescue and Homeland Security & Policing. International companies participating within the different product areas have planned product launches around the exhibition, hoping to take advantage of Intersec’s immense influencing power in the regional market.

Also within the Commercial Security section, global security solutions provider GKB will be introducing its new high definition analogy 960H DVR for supporting ultra-high resolution analog cameras. Providing higher resolution images than a standard analog system, the analogy also helps to enhance recording quality and is an ideal solution to meet the needs of small and medium sized system integrators and security installers.

Also on the security camera front, Surveon will be showcasing their next generation 3 megapixel real time HDR cameras ideal for system installers looking to enhance their professional surveillance, particularly within banking, transportation, manufacturing, public utilities and city surveillance.

With applications in improvised explosive device disposal and specialist search operations, the SCANWEDGE technology is expected to prove popular amongst EOD (explosive ordnance disposal) teams from around the world. It is already used by the US Department of Defence and the UK Ministry of Defence.

Paul Taylor, Sales & Marketing Director at SCANNA, said: “The development of our products is important so that we continue to meet the needs of our customers and counter the latest threats. We are therefore pleased to announce the launch of a new version of SCANWEDGE with improved image resolution and deployability.”
