SecurityNewsDesk TV: Safe Newcastle Global MSC Security seminar report and interviews

This week SecurityNewsDesk TV reports from the Safe Newcastle Global MSC Security Seminar in Newcastle.
This event, which alternates between Newcastle and Bristol twice a year, is an opportunity for delegates from around the country to hear from eminent speakers and meet a range of manufacturers and suppliers. And best of all for delegates, it’s entirely free of charge.
The Newcastle event featured 42 companies and a host of delegates. A packed speakers schedule saw presentations by the interim CCTV regulator, Andrew Rennison, Judith Jones from the Information Commissioner’s Office and DCI Mick Neville from the Metropolitan Police circulation unit talking about his work in identifying suspects from the summer riots.
A range of suppliers also gave presentations and the day culminated with a Question Time-style debate.
Over the course of the next three webcasts, we have interviews with exhibitors, the organisers and half a dozen speakers and other figures from the CCTV industry.
- To kick off our first webcast, we talked to Jason Piggott at Dallmeier UK about the Panomera mega-megapixel camera system.
- Then Dave Oliver from Stryker Communications told us about its wireless CCTV cameras, ideal for replacing fibre-based installations, and the ever-popular Polecat four-camera system.
- And finally, we caught up with Adrian Kirk at 360 Vision Technology who told us about the latest additions to the ruggedised Predator night-time CCTV cameras.
Remember, in day 2 and day 3, we will have more news about the speakers and debate that took place at the Safe Newcastle Global MSC Security Seminar.
