The South West’s largest independent supplier of fire and security solutions is forging ahead with a major expansion of its business development activity, following two new key appointments.
As part of a new strategy to maximise its ability to secure new clients, the Plymouth-based company has recruited Julian Confaloni and Michael Kingett as Business Development Managers in the Fire and Security Division.
Both men are also being supported by Installation Engineer Matt Sayer, who has decided to widen the scope of his skills set and join the sales team part time. It is part of Securi-Guard’s commitment to the continuous professional development of staff and supporting employees who want to progress through the company’s ranks.
Matt will primarily be based in Plymouth and has the task of converting engineers’ leads into new business, as well as securing new maintenance and monitoring contracts.
Julian Confaloni, 52, will be looking to develop new business opportunities across a variety of sectors in Cornwall, while 54-year-old Michael Kingett will be responsible for covering the Exeter and East Devon area, as well as North Devon and parts of Somerset.
A key element of the job for both men will be to raise awareness of the company’s reputation and its full portfolio of services covering fire and intruder alarms, CCTV and Access Control Systems and the services offered by other departments within the company, 24/7 monitoring services, security guarding, mobile patrols, keyholding and fire extinguishers.
Both Julian and Michael are excited at the opportunity to build a new client base for Securi-Guard and further enhance the company’s reputation for delivering a first class, professional service.
“Securi-Guard Fire and Security is renowned across the South West as one of the major players in our industry with a track record that really does speak for itself,” said Julian.
“To get the chance to be a part of the team and focus on developing new business opportunities in such a wonderful part of the country was just too good to miss.”
Michael added: “This is a chance to work for a well- established family business and really make my mark. I am confident that I can secure new clients keen to take advantage of what are some of the best fire and security services available today.”
Both Julian and Michael bring a wealth of industry experience to their new roles.
Prior to joining Securi-Guard, Julian worked as a business development manager for a leading security systems firm and has previous experience of both installation and maintenance of security/fire alarm systems, while Michael has extensive knowledge of fire alarm systems and fire risk assessment in various roles as an engineer manager.
