Quantum Secure, the leading provider of enterprise software to centralize physical identity and access management across disparate physical security systems, announces that Laurie Aaron, Quantum Secure’s Vice President of Business Development and Marketing, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Security Industry Association (SIA).
As the leading trade group for businesses in the electronic and physical security market, SIA (www.siaonline.org) protects and advances its members’ interests through legislative initiatives, market research, development of industry standards and educational and trade show events.
“SIA is honored to welcome Laurie as a new member of our Board of Directors,” said Don Erickson, Chief Executive Officer, Security Industry Association (SIA). “Her extensive knowledge of the electronic physical security industry, her interest in facilitating collaboration among industry stakeholders and her forward thinking will help guide SIA’s efforts to be a stronger resource to our members and help grow our industry.”
Ms. Aaron will participate on behalf of Quantum Secure in several SIA working groups and standards initiatives. A strong advocate for convergence of physical security with information security and technology, she previously served as Chairman of the Board of the Open Security Exchange (OSE) and has been active since OSE’s inception in 2004. At Quantum Secure, Ms. Aaron oversees corporate marketing initiatives, is responsible for developing Vertical Market Programs and has been directly responsible for large strategic customers such as the San Francisco Airport, Oracle Worldwide, the Empire State Building and the new World Trade Center in New York. Before joining Quantum Secure, Ms. Aaron was the director of strategic sales for Tyco Fire & Security’s Access Control and Video Systems business unit.
“SIA’s leadership is a critical component of the continued growth and success of our industry,” said Ms. Aaron. “This appointment represents an opportunity for me to help to guide the future of our industry, and I feel privileged to serve on the SIA Board of Directors.”
