Cardiff based security supplies and distribution company Oprema ltd have taken on three key appointments to assist the startup companies fast growth plans for 2012, Tim Sims, Richard Williams and David Watts taking the team to 6 full time employees.
Tim Sims, formally Business Development Manager for Office Image, is Oprema’s first full time Sales Manager. With over twelve years experience in senior sales positions his role will be to increase Oprema’s regional sales and market share across the UK. Saying, “This is a fantastic opportunity in an industry that is extremely competitive but has so much scope for us. Oprema are still only a young company but it’s set up with the right systems and is positioned as the new technology pioneers. I am looking forward to really taking this business forward.”
Richard Williams, MAAT, enters as Finance Manager after leaving Harp International in Pontypridd. He will manage the day to day financial transactions and obligations working closely with managing director Matthew Epps on planning for growth and expansion. “This is a great step forward in my career and there is so much potential for Oprema I’m looking forward to driving the finances for continued success.”
David Watts has come in on the Go Wales graduate training scheme as Technical Assistant. David recently completed a degree in Network Management and Security at University of Glamorgan. He will support Technical Sales Director Tim Duggan with product support for installers, building network systems as well as research and development on new products.
Matthew Epps commented on the trio, “I am really excited by the team we have at Oprema. Everyone has been brought in to their specific roles but we all work really well as a collective. The new appointments are yet another milestone for our start up and I feel that we are now building on the foundations Tim and I made two years ago.”
Oprema head quarters and distribution centre is based in Cardiff, though with the launch of a full ecommerce website the firms growth plan is focused on UK wide distribution.
