This year, Cento, the parent company of two specialist recruitment consultancies – Fire and Security Jobs (FSJ) and Lift and Escalator Jobs (LEJ), celebrates its 10th anniversary. To mark the occasion, on 18th February 2015, The Rt Hon Nicky Morgan MP visited Cento’s Head office in Loughborough to present a plaque and speak to the owners about the future skills requirements of both industries and how these can be met with government support for apprenticeship schemes.
Since 2005, Cento has gone from strength to strength and particularly in the past year the company has seen a 42% growth in business and staff numbers increasing by 50%. Cento expects the business to grow by 25% in the next 12 months and employee growth is forecasted at 20%. Cento is based in Loughborough but also has an office in Glasgow.
Brett Ennals, CEO of Cento commented, “The success of Cento is directly attributable to our company ethos that goes beyond simply filling vacancies, as we provide the latest market information and advice to both clients and candidates to ensure they maintain a competitive edge in a constantly evolving market. Achieving ISO9001 and ISO27001 respectively have contributed to this growth as they are fantastic accolades, representing the word’s most recognised quality management standard, and demonstrating that the international security best practices are being implemented.”
The Rt Hon Nicky Morgan MP commented, “Cento’s growth makes for a great success story. This unique recruitment consultancy has found jobs for over 2,000 people in the past ten years in the lift and escalators and fire and security sectors. After speaking with Cento, I’m now more aware of the skills shortages faced by these sectors and as a result would encourage companies to recruit apprentices and remind them the government is here is provide support.”
With a team of highly efficient recruitment consultants with extensive industry knowledge, Cento has ambitious plans for further growth and is in the process of developing a specialist sales division for the UK, starting with a focus in the Midlands. The future is bright for Cento and the world of recruitment!
