Milestone in Beaverton named a ‘Best Company to Work For’ in Oregon Business Magazine
Milestone Systems, the open platform company in IP video management software (VMS), has been voted as one of the ‘100 Best Companies to Work for in Oregon’, the company has announced. The Oregon Business Magazine annual list and company ranking are based on employee surveys covering several key areas of performance.
Milestone Systems Human Resources Manager Rachelle Basaraba, commented:
“We had great participation with 62 per cent of our Beaverton employees responding to the survey. For a company our size, Oregon’s Best required that at least 15 employees take the survey — we had 65, which shows really big engagement!”
The annual ‘100 Best’ list is comprised of the top large, medium, and small companies that participate in the survey each year. Milestone earned a 12th position ranking among participating medium-sized companies. Employee survey questions span six major categories:

- Decision-Making & Trust
- Career Development & Learning
- Benefits & Compensation
- Sustainable Practices
“We scored very well, especially in several areas of the survey, including Overall Working Environment (95 per cent satisfaction), Employee Benefits (94.4 per cent satisfaction), Employee Development and Career Path (87.2 per cent satisfaction). I think even here in Beaverton, Milestone has that European and Scandinavian touch for achieving a good work/life balance, and employees really appreciate that.”
Milestone’s global headquarters is in Copenhagen, Denmark, and the U.S. headquarters for managing all of the Americas’ activities for the company was established in 2004 in Oregon. The Beaverton office manages almost 100 Milestone Americas employees, including Canada and Latin America. Milestone Systems counts 611 employees worldwide, in 18 country offices.
