EverFocus UK set to capitalise on growing demand for surveillance in mobile applications with the launch of nine new mobile analogue cameras and three mobile digital video recorders (DVRs)
EverFocus Electronics Corporation, a global top 20 global professional security equipment manufacturer*, is set to target the UK transportation surveillance market with the launch of a range of innovative mobile cameras and DVRs all designed for installation in buses, coaches, commercial vehicles and trains.
New mobile cameras
EverFocus is offering two vandal-proof analogue mini-domes; the EMD302 is for internal use and features a 1/3 inch high resolution sensor delivering 540 TV lines in NTSC or PAL picture formats. The EMD300 internal/external mini-dome has an IP66 rating for water and dust protection, a Super HAD II sensor for low light images down to 0.05 lux, day/night functionality and 550 TV lines resolution. Both mini-domes measure no more than 87mm in diameter and use 12 volt DC power with minimal energy consumption.
The EverFocus EMW330 is a ‘wedge’ shaped mobile camera for internal or external use, and is designed to be mounted on the side, rear or on a ceiling of a vehicle without the need for a bracket. Measuring 105mm in diameter the EMW330 offers day/night functionality, infra-red (IR) illuminators and built-in heating in an IP67 vandal resistant housing. With a 1/3 inch Sony Super HAD CCD delivering 520 TV lines, the unit is powered using 12 volt DC with a maximum power consumption of 8 watts.
Cameras are also increasingly being fitted to capture incidents happening around a vehicle and to also help drivers improve their view whilst driving. EverFocus is launching a range of five vehicle viewing cameras, one for internal and four for internal/external use anywhere on a vehicle. Internal/external cameras include the AVM-730C and AVM-730BV (back-view camera) which both measure 23mm across, featuring a bullet-shaped lens cap and offer 420 TV lines resolution from a 1/4 inch CCD, with the AVM-730A offering a flat lens and a 28mm diameter. All cameras are easily adjustable for pan, tilt or rotation.
For day/night external surveillance for use at front and rear of buses, the EverFocus AVM-930BV vehicle view IR Camera uses 1/3 inch Sony CCD image sensor together with 13 infra-red LEDs to offer and offers great night time images with an IR distance of 10 metres. For internal use, the AVM-950H is a windscreen-mountable camera running on 12 volt DC power, with a 1/3 inch CCD image sensor and 520 TV lines resolution.
EverFocus has also launched three mobile DVRs to support their camera range. All three models offer H.264 compression, shock and vibration resistance with ‘G’ shock sensors, easy GUI set-up using external screen, individual 12 volt camera power outputs, removable standard SATA 2.5 inch/3.5 inch hard-disks and recording rates up to 960fps @CIF resolution. The EMV1200, EMV800 and EMV400 offer 12, 8 and 4 video and audio channels respectively. All DVRs offer optional modules for Wi-Fi connectivity (802.11b/g) or EDGE/GPRS/CDMA mobile connectivity for simple data transfer. The EMV range of DVRs all operate on voltages ranging from 10-36V DC and at a temperature range from -400C and up to 550C.
