50% increase in Exmesh security fencing for railway industry

The Hartlepool-based Expanded Metal Company today announced that use of its ExMesh (previously known as ‘Expamet’) Security Fencing range had increased by 50% this year against last for the railway industry, including in excess of 7km for a major trackside fencing project in Scotland.
This has been accompanied by a £multi-million investment in the factory, to ensure similar growth and increased demand can be catered for in coming years.

Expanded metal has many advantages over other materials as a component of security fencing, and the market-leading ExMesh™ products offer significant advantages over alternative systems:

Each panel is made from a sheet of solid steel and is difficult to penetrate and scale.
The systems have been designed to work as part of a layered security approach, and can easily integrate electronic security systems.
Mesh panels have good through vision which is ideal for monitoring perimeters with CCTV cameras.
With no joins, welds or weak links the ExMesh™ fence panels are the toughest and most secure available.

ExMesh has been installed in many thousands of locations for over 30 years and is now being deployed increasingly by the rail industry.
